Don't forget to ready McBroom! Wish he could be here in person in place of Super Sugar Shane Robinson... I hate to knock Robinson. He’s earned a spot doing exactly what he does. He survives by filling temporary holes in team rosters and playing in the minor leagues in between. He’s completely useful in that he provides the “replacement player” that never gets named when calculating WAR and conducting discussions about the sport. It’s arguable as to whether or not Cashman made the correct choice to employ him on the Yankees roster instead of say, McBroom. What we know as fans is that we want the best possible players on the roster in any situation. With the injury to Judge, there were mulitiple factors to consider, talent, economics, roster status, the readiness of McBroom to perform in a particular role, and so on. On top of that, the decision also had to be based on the best guess of how long Judge would be out. Being a fan is easier than being the GM. That’s why Cashman gets a nice paycheck to be the GM, and while the team needs to please the fans to some degree, it is we who pay them...

Homer Bailey lost again yesterday, dropping his record to 1-12; 6.17. I think I read that the Reds are 1-17 in his last eight starts. He’s the closest thing MLB has going to Anthony Young right now...

Yes. I have no idea how he did it. Of course that was a mis-type. Eighteen starts.
Great catch, mich. I loved the way you threw your mask aside and fearlessly dove into the camera pit while the first baseman stood there scratching his ass...

Geez, didn't realize Madson was still playing. He's 37, but it seems like he'd be 47 now...
