Monty's season hits rock bottom. Hate to see it. I admit I wanted him back.

Monty's season hits rock bottom. Rough for Monty. Boras screwed him and Snell both. Kaybli, I'm not a Boras fan and when both pitchers had yet to sign late in the offseason I posted a question about whether this might hurt the Boras brand. WTS, players are responsible for their decisions and I think both pitchers had some concerns that made them a little risky for some teams. They both still seemed to hold out for contracts beyond their market value. I understand players wanting to cash in but in both cases these players made decisions that will probably cost them in the long run. Isn't Boras Soto's agent?

Snell turned down a $150 million offer from the Yankees, that's on him, not his agent.

Players are ultimately responsible for their decisions in the end. Like Chi said Snell could have taken that 150 million from the Yankees though I’m sure Boras advised him not to. Boras is indeed Soto’s agent.

Cody Bellinger is batting .253/.315/.439. He has 8 HR and 29 RBI… so he’s kind of in between the slumping Bellinger and the rebounded Bellinger of last season…

Joey Gallo’s career may be nearing its end. In Washington this year he’s hitting .157 .278 .321 .599 75. After hitting .159 for the Yanks in parts of two seasons he’s never hit higher than .177 at any stop since then. Maybe the problem wasn’t New York after all…

Ugh. Baltimore sweeps a four-game set in Tampa and wins again tonight. We never get any help.

Always been a fan of Higgy...really nice guy. A baseball lifer...wouldn't be surprised to see him managing in MLB some day.
