Our inability to score given our early offensive power is remarkable. Not really. Only Andujar is close to hitting .300. We have only 3 guys in the lineup at .260 or above. We've lost a ton of power to injuries. Bird couldn't hit a beach ball with a boat paddle--and Gardner not much better lately. Only Andujar has stepped up with all the injuries. Hopefully a few of them will get hot. Soon. |

Earlier in the season we were one of the best scoring teams in the nation. I don't think we will ever be a high average team, Cashman focuses on OBP and home runs not having high batting averages.
