glad to see Bird get another start, and protected by Torres...hopefully he gets something to hit...I Like what Boone did with Voit following Sanchez and Bird sandwiched between Voit and Torres....the counter argument might be the Twins could pitch around Voit to get to Bird....but, maybe Mark will make them pay if they do...

I’m happy for Bird, as well. I’d hate to see him buried and forgotten with no opportunity for redemption the remainder of the season.
This lineup is perhaps one of the more sensible ones I’ve seen from Boone lately with the exception of # 9 Gleyber Torres again. I like a free-swinging #3 batter that can shoot the ducks off the pond. It reminds me of the days of Donnie Mattingly in that spot...
There’s a rhythm to it, Patience, Patience, BOOM! I like it...

I don't think anyone can fathom how Boone's mind works, based on the season....but I like giving Bird some protection with Torres or someone that might cause them to pitch to Bird...he probably has something far more intelligent in mind...….

HUGE double play! Nothing worse i’m Sure for Severino that to see the first hitter reach on a ball that might have been converted to an out. Easy to get in the “ here we go again” mindset.
Nice first inning!!!

Stanton has now joined the parade of Yankee hitters that have endured unusually lengthy and deep slumps this season.

Oh well, slumps are part of baseball! Unless you're JD Martinez or Mookie Betts.
