Stanton has now joined the parade of Yankee hitters that have endured unusually lengthy and deep slumps this season. Gardner Sanchez Gregorious Stanton Walker Bird Should I add Torres? Anyone else? Only Andujar and Judge has been spared it seems. Though Judge has been out with the wrist injury.
Oh well, slumps are part of baseball! Unless you're JD Martinez or Mookie Betts. I think Betts went 0-4 one night.

Bird gets a cookie and hits a weak flyball to RF. His inability to drive the ball with authority has been one of the bigger disappointments of the season.

Does anyone run harder to first base than Aaron Hicks? Some may be faster, but Hicks puts every single muscle twitch available to use. I wouldn’t have been upset if the Yankees had moved him over the winter as a “sell high” opportunity, but he’s really grown on me...

The Yanks would need a new CF if they moved Hicks, since I don't think Gardner should be brought back.

Not exactly a text book slide. More like falling down stairs.
