Why is Cole pitching in a close game? I really hope it comes out that Boone has a gambling problem. At least his horrendous managing would make sense. Yanks can’t fire this clown soon enough. He manages half the games to lose on purpose.

Why is Cole pitching in a close game? And it only takes this turd two hitters to blow the lead. Terrible managing.

It only took three hitters to fall behind. Cole should never throw a pitch again for the Yankees.

Forget advanced metrics, you only need basic stats to know bringing in Cole in a close game was a bad idea.

At least DiDi & Judge will be well rested. He will rest them in the playoffs to keep them fresh for the offseason. We will never see the team playing at more than 80% so long as he is managing the team. He’s the most frustrating manager I’ve ever watched.

Seems like I’ve seen this before. Bring Cole into the game. He gets ripped, sits on bench with wide eyes. Kahnle follows and exasperbates the issue by giving up more rockets. Once the lead is gone, Boone pulls Kahnle and Green or Robinson are called on...
This is a goofy manager. I tried to like him. I tried to believe. I can’t do it... Maybe Cash will hire a manager out of the stands next spring. Maybe from our forum. I’m too old for the job, and don’t want to travel. Chi, will you take it? I don’t want Dome to get it...

Have Cole and Kahnle played themselves off the roster yet?

Not the case with Boone.

Forget advanced metrics, you only need basic stats to know bringing in Cole in a close game was a bad idea. Honestly, I think assuming that Boone intends to win this game is a mistake to begin with. In his mind, he’d rather throw Cole out there to give up 15 consecutive home runs than to use use any of his good relievers and sacrifice their rest time. It wasn’t a bad idea. It was the expected outcome.

He threw 15 pitches. In BooneWorld that means he’ll be rested and can give us 125 pitches in the one-gamer...

I just don't get how the New York Yankees could hire a manager with no coaching experience.

Buck is going to be available. Maybe we can bring him back for another go around.

Imagine how frustrating it has to be to play for Boone. You go 2-4, crank a homer, and the next day you’re either sitting or suddenly dropped from 4th in the lineup to 8th while you watch a .220 hitter occupy the spot in the order you did yesterday. A .220 hitter who incidentally is playing out of position and hasn’t had a hit in a week but needs to get going...
Then you get a lead and he scrapes the bottom of the bullpen to give it back...
