I think it's time to say goodbye to CC and Gardner. Not sure I agree on CC. He’s been solid this year. He’s said Pettitte is his role model. I think he can contribute next year and would likely come back on a 1 year deal. They were so desperate for innings this year they traded for Lance Lynn. I think CC can play a useful role, even without considering the role he plays off the field mentoring and being a role model for other players. I would bring him back. Depends what is out there in FA. I think they can go year to year on CC but if you figure going forward you have Severino, Tanaka, and Sheffield, then one more year committed to Gray (though thats probably a non-factor), plus perhaps trying to make a bigger FA splash there may not be too much room for CC. I also think at this point I may have swayed more towards wanting to try to bring back Happ on a short-term deal (even if not just 1 year) over CC. I have always been a huge CC fan and defender, love the way he reinvested himself...but given age, injury history, and second half it causes me to pause when considering his future.

Seems like I’ve seen this before. Bring Cole into the game. He gets ripped, sits on bench with wide eyes. Kahnle follows and exasperbates the issue by giving up more rockets. Once the lead is gone, Boone pulls Kahnle and Green or Robinson are called on... This is a goofy manager. I tried to like him. I tried to believe. I can’t do it... Maybe Cash will hire a manager out of the stands next spring. Maybe from our forum. I’m too old for the job, and don’t want to travel. Chi, will you take it? I don’t want Dome to get it... Tequila & I are ready to Manage the Yanks; expect a Tampa Bay type of Baseball = Do Me Ball.
Should WE post our resumes? Should WE post all the changes WE would Make?
Should WE post how we would bring a WS Appearance by 'Thinking Outside the Box?'
BOY, are we excited...

I honk there will be a market for Happ for a multi year deal. For sure if he and CC were available on comparable terms J would take Happ but I don’t think that will be the case. I have liked what I’ve seen from Happ but don’t know that I would want to give him 4+ years.

Though, not really too many interesting names on the FA market starting pitching wise.
