@bryanhoch Didi Gregorius tore cartilage in his wrist on the slide home yesterday. Boone said there is a chance he does not return this season. -------- Wow, that sucks. Terrible news! Also wonderful that Boonie rested him enough after he returned from the DL to protect him from fatigue and injury. If he can’t play, st least he’ll be up to cheering...

I've had enough of AJ cole.
95-60 7 to go, 2 up on the A's for home field, but they have the tie breaker so its really 3 up. Magic number for home field is 5.

I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere yet, but CC said after the game on Friday that he’s “playing in 2019”. Going to be an interesting off season for the Yanks with Happ and CC. Will Cashman stay loyal to CC for another year or will we offer Happ a 2 year deal? I love CC and want to see him end his career with the Yanks, but Happ has been really good since the trade. I can’t see a scenario where we keep both

The team is in a winning window right now. I don’t see how CC can fit into that game plan...

I think it's time to say goodbye to CC and Gardner.

I think it's time to say goodbye to CC and Gardner. The only value Gardner can still have is as a back up outfielder that can handle LF and CF. Part of his potential value could be determined by the plan for the starting of next year. Will we need a late inning defensive replacement in LF? I hope not, but if we do, he could still fit. The problem is that benches are so short now that a defensive replacement/pinch runner may not be an adequate utilization of a roster spot... An additional issue is that if Boone returns (he will), he’ll want to start his back up OF about three days a week...

I think it's time to say goodbye to CC and Gardner. Agreed. If you want to win, tough decisions have to be made. It may also be time to say goodbye to some prospects in order to fill out a pitching staff with a longer shelf life and more reliability...as well to plug another slot or two...I’d like to get another contact hitter or two into this lineup, but do contact hitters actually exist anymore? I might as well ask for a unicorn...

We sure did. I hit two home runs in the final, injured wrist and all. We had a very disappointing regular season after a promising one last year, so it was nice we pulled it out in the end. Suffice to say we we rather large underdogs in every game. Well then... triple congratulations for: Overcoming the odds Winning Performing (and well) through injury!!! Thanks Inger. It’s my first championship at any level of ball. Came close in 5th grade LL but fell short in a 1-0 rain shortened game against our bitter rivals.

Hot dang! The first is always the sweetest! Then, when you can add in that you played well in the big moments or the big game(s), well that adds a bit of syrup, too...

I think it's time to say goodbye to CC and Gardner. Not sure I agree on CC. He’s been solid this year. He’s said Pettitte is his role model. I think he can contribute next year and would likely come back on a 1 year deal. They were so desperate for innings this year they traded for Lance Lynn. I think CC can play a useful role, even without considering the role he plays off the field mentoring and being a role model for other players. I would bring him back.
