Realmuto will thrive playing half of him his games in the Phil's ballpark. Good point. Pinball machine numbers can and do occur...Though I don’t think he’ll have huge numbers, he should at least maintain similar results to his past couple seasons... |

I, a professional reporter would like to inform you that just because I’m reporting something you shouldn’t assume that it’s going to be based on facts that have a basis in reality, nor any true discovery process. You see, I also like to gossip. Sometimes I just stand on street corners and sit in bars and restaurants listening to rumor and innuendo and write what I’m hearing. But, don’t worry. It’s not just me. Heck, sometimes there’s dozens of us “pros” in those same places, picking up tidbits to pass along to you. But I’m better than that. Sometimes I even dream about this stuff and report my dreams in my column. I’m a professional. What makes me just a little bit better than most is that after I’ve lured you into reading my crap, I’m not above following up with a retraction. Even a disclaimer. That way I can sort of blame others...unnamed others of course, for having whispered these unsubstantiated rumors into my ear. Sometimes it even happens when I doze off, sort of like those sleep learning tapes. I’m like most of America. I’m a victim. Meanwhile, I have to go now. Manny Machado just left the bathroom stall next to me. I’d say he probably ate red meat yesterday. This is not what we call innuendo. This is what we call out his-end-o. I heard his phone ping a text to him, but I couldn’t tell what letters he was hitting on his key pad during the reply, but the rhythm of the tapping suggested he might have typed “NY” three times and “Yankees” once. I need to follow him until he goes outside, and then ask my friends if they know anything more about this than I do. Stay tuned. If I find out what he ate yesterday was NOT red meat, I’ll let you know. I’m a professional journalist. That’s what we do... |

I always thought Duda would end up with the Yankees, he certainly loves hitting @ Yankee Stadium.

I always thought Duda would end up with the Yankees, he certainly loves hitting @ Yankee Stadium. His ever-shrinking BA and OBP make me glad he wound up elsewhere. I more feared the Yanks would sign him than thought they would sign him... |
