I heard Buster Olney on my local sports station a few minutes ago and he said, as of 3 hours ago the Yanks had not offered Happ a third year. So, this was all a dream, and there is nothing to be Happ-y about... If the Yankees are consistent, they will not offer Happ a guaranteed third year. If they do, then I don’t understand the hesitation to offer Corbin or Eovaldi one more year. Maybe this is a sign that they will trade for Kluber?

The Lance Lynn watch or wake begins. Lynn just got 3/$30m from Texas, which officially qualifies as batshit crazy.

I think our search for another elite pitcher has now ended. So we don't have enough pitching to reasonably win the play offs.

That option will be based on innings pitched and starts, per Feinsand. The deal is still being finalized and is pending a physical. Happ drew interest from several other teams over the last month-plus, including the Phillies and Astros, but it sounds like none were willing to offer a third year (even on an option) to the 36-year-old left-hander.

I’m pretty sure some idiot GM will sign me for the minimum if I can throw 20 or more max-effort pitches per game and occasionally get someone out by accident...I eon’t Reach free-agency until I’m 71, so it’s doubtful I’ll ever get more than a 2/$20M contract, but I’ll live with it. I just have to decide which arm I’m going to throw with now...I may get more attention as a lefty specialist, and the expectation would only be 70 appearances with 20 innings per year.., Just need to get 60 outs per season... (: Better yet, perhaps a lefty specialist opener. I’m packing. Gotta move to Tampa...

Then there’s that..,what’s his name... Koochicoochiecoo from Japan?... Some sources say he may be a better pitcher than any other ever out of Japan. Other sources say great curveball and nothing else... Me? I dunno...

I think he (Kikuchicoochikoo is the correct spelling) is known for a slider and a good fastball. I wonder if he's any good. His numbers in Japan were less impressive than those of others who've come before him recently (Maeda, Tanaka, Darvish, Ohtani), so I don't know what to think.

Sounds like a 5th starter in the major leagues.

Sounds like the type of option you want if you're the Yankees.

This is America, the land of free speech. Until you say anything that anybody else doesn’t like...I think everyone knows where I stand on that... Good clip. I’ve never seen that movie... But in this case, I was just too lazy to look the name up. Brandy had to go see the emergency vet tonight. She’s in pretty bad pain and we’re back home with pain meds that she doesn’t want to take and no real answers as to what’s going on. The pain seems to be in one of her shoulders. It’s got me and Ruth both down, not to mention Brandy. There’s even a possibility she could have cancer...Six years old and 155 very loving pounds of beautiful dog...

Gosh, I hope its nothing serious, inger. Dogs are family members. At least ours is, and it sounds like yours is too.

Gosh, I hope its nothing serious, inger. Dogs are family members. At least ours is, and it sounds like yours is too. Thanks, chuck. This is really strange. One moment she was fine, and the next she was yelping in pain over and over...We went to the emergency vet care, and they were really nice with us and her. I chose to have them run blood work and they found evidence of an over-active immune system that is common with cancer. She does have some fatty tumors on her body that she's had for a couple of years, but they're almost always benign. We're waiting for a call back from the vet to see if her white cell count is high. If it is, then cancer becomes very likely. If the best happens, we'll find out that she pulled a muscle in her neck/shoulder area and the pain meds will get the inflammation down and she'll be fine. Our luck recently hasn't been the best...Right now, she's sitting still for the first time in hours. I took her collar off and have been massaging her neck and shoulders... We both recently went to the dentist and we ran up about 4 grand in dental bills, and then Ruthie turned around and broke another tooth...It's been crazy stuff... I think this is all test, as I recently decided to make sure I stay in the moment of life and live one day at a time...
