If you have an injured player can you replace them with another player Yes but you lose the injured player for the series and the next series (if there is one). |

We played 144 games without Stanton this season, so I think we can do okay without him now. There where signs he wasn’t fully healthy and ready to play all ready. A bit of hinky play on the field, some less than energetic base-running. It’s all good having him as a pinch hitter... Next man up! |

The Yankees were 11-7 in games Stanton played in, which on a percentage basis is worse than they played without him. So from that standpoint, he hasn't had much of an impact on this team at all. Still, when a guy has his ability and is being paid what he is being paid, I would prefer having him available. But this is a year-long soap opera, so let's just roll with it. |
