Not sure that is a loss. He can not play anyhow They said he's day to day Noetsi. And he homered in Game 1. Looked a lot like he could play that day.

I'd play him at DH and just hope he homers or gets on base and the guy behind him homers. Put him in front of Torres in the lineup.

If he can hit pain free I would do that and sit Edwin who looked lost at the plate. I would bat him lower so you can pinch run/defensive replacement Maybin without regretting where he is in the lineup. This is where I wish they also had Wade on the roster.

Yeah... I was kinda trying to be funny about Gleyber hitting behind Stanton.. IDK though, Maybin is hitting just as well as the rest of the lineup at this point.. besides Judge, Gleyber, and DJ.. the other's aren't getting it done. I know it's the post season good pitchers blah blah blah... and the astros didn't hit much either.. so I'm not too worried.. but we need to get the ball rolling.

They would have been wiser just letting Stanton take the year off and return better next year.
I don't understand why we don't use Ford who can play rather than Stanton who can not.

If Sockman is ready, activate Operation Sockman! ?That’s what time it is! Weird that he took BP today, felt good enough to hit one out but couldn’t play. Somethings up.

Because Stanton is a better player. He homered and singled in game 1 in Houston, so I would play at DH tomorrow night and sit Edwin.

If Stanton can start Thursday for Game 4 then start him and sit Edwin. If he can’t then DL him and bring the Sockman!

The problem we have is that every body that was put has come back. They’re not in the proper condition to perform at their top level. The guys they’re replacing have worked their asses off to cover for them and are now being pushed aside. Team chemistry has been disturbed. Everybody back to the IL. Send in the backups!...

He homered in a game where we faced a much less elite pitcher than the last two games. He might well have done nothing against Verlander and Cole

I think there's a lot to this take. It's always concerning when the people who got you where you are are jettisoned for the people they replaced. Hicks hadn't played a game in two months. Didn't play much before that either, if I recall. Encarnacion has been of and on the IL since he's been in NY and only recently came back. Same with Sanchez and Stanton, moreso Stanton. We got where we are by timely hitting and making contact. We have now reverted to a more feast or famine line-up with lots of strikeouts, but lots of potential explosive power. Of course, the fact that we've just faced Verlander and Cole may have something to do with how bad the Yankee hitters have looked.
