Betances may have just completed the most economical and perfect season in MLB history.
I don’t get it. He did that little crow hop off the mound, but showed no other signs of injury. He was still laughing and clowning in the dugout...
But... the team got this far without him, so if we must, well... you know the rest. Next man up doesn’t have to belong strictly to the lineup. It can also belong to the bullpen...

It can also belong to the bullpen... Who will take his spot now? Loaisiga? Cessa? I’ve been hoping to see the Loaisiga we saw today and his prior time out. That’s who I’d choose, even though I have a soft spot for Cessna because he can look so very good when he’s on. I feel like he’s flirting with stardom, but this is not the time to look at a flirt. Johnny L. has better stuff, and a longer potential future. There may be a way to get them both on the roster though...With the opener in play, we only need three starters for sure... Starters: Paxton Tanaka German] Opener/Piggy Backers/Long men Severino Green Cessa Loaisiga[Happ] Bullpen: Kahnle Ottavino Britton Chapman That’s only eleven. There’s still room for Boone to add one or two in any group he wants to: CC Tarpley/ Gearrin?r] You could easily call Severino a starter, and I wouldn’t argue, but I’d verify his ability to pitch deep into games first. Will Boone even plan on starters going longer than 4 innings? You could also slide Loaisiga into the relief group, and these placements could change depending on winning or losing any one particular game. *note: dumbass me, forgot to put Kahnle in the bullpen. So he is an edit...

Post-season rosters change slightly depending upon opponent and pitching/position health. With the injuries to Hicks, Betances, Tauchman, etc., the choices become limited. I shall assume that Encarnacion and Stanton shall be back, as well as Sanchez and Sabathia. Moreover, I expect Montgomery will be saved for next season, and Cortes has just been too ineffective lately. If Encarnacion is not ready, then Ford is on. If Sabathia is not ready, then opponent shall decide between Tarpley for a loogy or Loaisiga for another power arm. Cessa and Happ become situational long men. Sabathia could be an opener or a lefty specialist.
1. Romine 2. Sanchez 3. Voit 4. LeMahieu 5. Torres 6. Gregorius 7. Urshela 8. Encarnacion 9. Gardner 10. Judge 11. Maybin 12. Wade 13. Stanton
14. Paxton 15. Tanaka 16. German 17. Severino 18. Happ 19. Chapman 20. Britton 21. Ottavino 22. Kahnle 23. Green 24. Cessa 25. Sabathia

Opponent shall decide? Well, that seems a tad unfair to me...
How about opponent shall be the determinant factor in the Yankees decision? Yeah. I get it. Too cumbersome... never mind. Just felt like jabbing you and wound up jabbing myself. Nothing new there...
Now go away. Me, not you...
