"The ball came very close to hitting the ground before Harris scooped it up. In the sideline views of both film and video, Harris had caught the ball out of frame, and came running into frame from the right side on his path to the end zone. The only other known NBC video was an end zone shot from above and behind the goalposts depicting Harris scooping the ball before it touched the ground. The best NFL Films shot of the play, from ground level, is a tight shot from the end zone of Harris snaring the ball, with his feet and the ground just out of frame below" I read many years ago that it had in fact hit the ground, I thought Harris had said this but maybe not Boo! Off with thee. Go thee, and be ashamed!...

Kansas State hung on to beat Oklahoma 48-41, so the first meaningful upset of the day.

Wisconsin's season unraveling as they get crushed by Ohio State. LSU with too many self imposed mistakes. Tied with Auburn at the half.

Although I am focusing on my Nittany Lions, I have been watching as much of LSU-Auburn as I can. Burrow certainly putting up some numbers.

Wisconsin's season unraveling as they get crushed by Ohio State. Ohio St. is crushing everyone in the Big Ten. They might actually make the playoffs this year.

Not a lot of great teams not in the SEC or Big Ten.

Congratulations Rizzuto on the big LSU win! I’ll second that. Heard the win was much more dominant than the scoreboard reflected, too...(Didn’t see it, a neighbor told me).

Congratulations Rizzuto on the big LSU win! It was a great game. It looked like Bama was going to make a comeback there when they got it to within 5 points but they could not stop LSU. My boys and I were lucky to be able to watch most of the game and it was a ton of fun

I wouldn't say that, since several times Bama made it a one score game, but they just couldn't get that one defensive stop when they needed it. Credit LSU, unlike their past teams, this current has an explosive offense that scores at will. To out up 46 points on Alabama is really impressive. I'd like to see a LSU/Ohio St. matchup, maybe in the NCAA title game?

Congratulations Rizzuto on the big LSU win! Wonderful feeling to beat Alabama at their house, where referees tend to swallow their whistles in favor of the Tide. I was pretty confident that we could squeeze out a win, until Michael Divinity - LSU’s best linebacker and pass rusher - left the team suddenly this week for “personal reasons.” No one seems to know the circumstances, as there is usually chatter but not this time. Physical senior linebacker at 6’2” 241 lbs who can run, expected to be a first round pick. LSU’s weakness defensively has been getting consistent pressure on the quarterback and Divinity was always at the center of those packages. So, I was much less certain with his loss, which really expressed itself against the run. Man, there will be plenty of draft picks among those two teams. Great game to watch.

Pipps, I watched the end of the Penn State-Minnesota game and was pulling for you. If the quarterback gets rid of the ball a little sooner, that interception may have been a touchdown to win the game. My niece received her PhD from Happy Valley and I was a Joe Paterno fan.

Ugh, I'm a big PSU football fan, but I missed yesterday's game. Clifford had only 3 interceptions all season but threw 3 yesterday, you can't do that in big games. Still, they had a chance to win at the end.
