It happens a lot in college football... Which is a different venue... Which matters why? Because baseball aims to be more classy as reflected in the white uni's?

I really can't put stock in that Oakland series. The Yankees just looked asleep most of that series and the cowbells horns etc didn't help things. If all that racket is going to be allowed in the post series, at least we got exposed to it. I wish the commish would shut it down as unbecoming an MLB venue... That stuff doesn’t affect athletes, just the fans trying to watch the games.

One bad ump call from sweeping the best team in baseball.

Come on Noetsi, if the Dodgers had beaten us you know you'd be beating the drum that we can't beat good pitching in the playoffs. Never let reality get in the way of a sports fan’s right to complain.

Which is a different venue... Which matters why? Because baseball aims to be more classy as reflected in the white uni's? It only matters to me as a fan when the Yankees play at Oakland. I find it disturbing and obnoxious. Of course, I could choose to mute the sound like you do, but then I would also find myself uninformed at times like you do. The announcing is often obnoxious too. but all you have to do as a fan is pick the gems out of manure and you can be enriched. As for class...I found the white unis anything but classy...

The Yankees bullpen in this series: 9 1/3 IP, 0 runs, 2 hits, 16 strikeouts, 3 walks.
Not too shabby against the Dodgers in their home park. No reason in the world we can't give these guys their third straight World Series loss. Which I believe has never happened in consecutive years, not even by the Dodgers themselves.
Inching closer to Buffalo Bills status? We can dare to hope.

But we have no chance against good teams in the playoffs.

Hunter Pence is definitely a piece of work. Hard not to root for a guy that crazy.

I was looking at Mateo’s numbers again. He’s hitting .292 with 17 HR and 73 RBI. He’s hit 27 doubles and 14 triples while stealing 23 bases. On the downside he has several team mates that don’t exactly strike fear in the hearts of most opposing fans that have numbers that tell you a bit about the environment the Las Vegas team plays in. They also of course travel to some high altitude cities in their league.
Caleb Joseph has hit .370 this year for that team. If I recall correctly there are six players with a higher BA than Mateo and about the same with more HR and RBI. I think he was in a three way tie for fourth on the team in doubles. But those triples were all his. Some of his other team mates were ex-MLB guys that were pounding the ball in the context of what they did in MLB, too. I’m sorry, I forgot who they were.
I remember thinking he could steal 50 or more bases per year with that blazing speed. Even though he’s nabbed 23 this season, he’s been caught 11 times.
His fielding suggests more that he won’t wind up at SS than that he will. He sees some time at second base now. The centerfield experiment over with nearly as fast as it began.
I hate to smell failure on a player. I’d still like to see him become more than nothing. What I fear is that he’s continuing to survive on his raw talent. That might be enough to get him some MLB time. Utility? Starter on a weaker team willing to take a chance? DH? I don’t know, but as much as I hated to see him go, I know the Yanks made the right choice to move him...
