youtu.be/oOhk2tHUq7cEveryone should check out that video. The 150 nastiest pitches of the year. There was some Chapman and Sevy on there... A Betances sighting... And DOMINGO GERMAN!! Watching the video really made me think... "if we can get Darvish in a sweet little 4 year deal..." I think Darvish has the nastiest stuff in MLB... based on that video. Sadly... A lot of the strikeouts on the video were against our beloved Yankees lol. Check it out or be a dweeb!

I hope the Yanks hold on to him.

Yep, I think German is the one to watch in 2018 if we wind up with an opening due to performance or an injury...

Just click the photo and click and drag in on the diagonal little square at the corner of the photo. Just like I did to resize the photo. What browser are you using? I'm using Chrome and it won't let me do that... I click the photo and nothing happens... it doesn't "select" it so to speak. That's how I originally figured you resized it... like any other site... but nope... not a workings.. I even went back to edit the post and couldn't get the picture "selected" to shrink it. The response I got from support was "That is a feature of the firefox browser. Chrome has not added a similar feature".

I've noticed that when I write long posts I see the system begin to drag (like, I'll type and have to wait, often several seconds for the text to appear on screen) and if I don't stop and copy the post some times the site will shut down on me, or other times (I believe) I have sent the post and had it disappear. In order to combat this, I do try to remember to copy once in a while so that if I lose anything it's not the whole post. That's why you caught me in mid post a couple of times. Is there a definitive word or line limit that I should reach and expect that I might find my post go down the rabbit hole???

It might be your system struggling to run Firefox/Chrome which happens to me on my other portable little laptop with only 2GB of memory.

6 Gigs and 399 Gb of open space on my hard drive...running mostly on Chrome, though sometimes I use Firefox...The old blunderbus is getting some age on it, about seven years old. I've been fortunate. I find that the protection program that Best Buy installs does a great job of virus protection, and they're phone techs have done well, too...

Here are my thoughts I posted on Scout tonight. We can discuss, perhaps???
Not to besmirch Torres in any way, the minor league stats he's put up are good numbers, but they aren't screaming "ready to become a superstar in 2018" I realize that his last 262 AB have provided 10 of his 23 career MiLB HR's, so the power is beginning to show up and the BA is creeping upward, but...I'm good with another year of seasoning...or at least starting the year in AAA...He just turned 21, so if he does get the big promotion, I don't think we should expect him to set the world on fire as a rookie. He might...but don't be disappointed if he's not quite ready for prime time...
I suppose if the lad had stayed healthy the full season in 2017 I may be singing a different tune, but he did lose a bit of development time...

I wouldn't mind a Todd Frazier reunion for a year, maybe two since he can play first. That way no pressure on Torres or Andujar. I get it with the, Torres needs more minor league time approach, but who are we kidding? A couple more weeks in the weeds equals another year of control.

Torres did miss the final couple months of last season, so spending some time at Scranton to get the rust off would make sense, but you're right, this really about pusing his time clock back a year.

So, for the team it's a win-win to hold him back. There's also a risk in pushing him forward that he's not quite going to be ready or the rust won't be off. If that happens we may need to use up an option to send him back down with his clock already started...
What kind of production are you guys thinking we'd get out of him this year? I think he may be ready to do something along the lines of .260/.330./.400. I'd expect maybe 12-15 HR if he played the full season. Those numbers aren't bad at second base. On the other hand, they're not so great that we can't wait 'til June to see him...A Wade/Torreyes combo should be able to hit .240/.300/.350 or better...
From all I understand, the kid has a MLB glove all ready, perhaps not as good as Wade's, but at least as good as Torreyes if not better.

For all you fellows older than me... How is Jack Morris in the HOF? I mean, if you're gonna put him in... then Cone has to be in!!! And I don't think Cone was a HOF... Maybe a Hall of Awesome... but not HOF... but Jack Morris? He pitched more innings, about 1,000 more... yet his WAR was about 60 points lower and his ERA+ was only 105!!!! David Cone had a 121 ERA+ This isn't at all to say Cone is a HOF... just that Morris clearly isn't!!! Who's $*()%*($( did he (#*@*(@()

It actually seems like most of the things Morris ever lead the leagues in were stuff you shouldn't be proud of... walks, earned runs, wild pitches... ha!!!
