Any Fleetwood Mac fans out there? I was going on a Fleetwood Mac binge recently:

I should like FM, but for some reason I just can’t get into them. I liked Lindsey Buckingham when I was a kid...and individually just about the whole band, but somehow it hasn’t meshed for me.
Maybe it’s because when I was about 12 we had a new kid move into town who’s name was Mick Fleetwood. I took one look at him and immediately detested him. He had a weird profile that looked just like cartoon images of a crescent moon (hooked and protruding chin, nose and all. I swear his forehead was slanted outward, too) and just an arrogant air about him...
The parents around the neighborhood all seemed repulsed by him too, many then calling him “That Fleetwood Mack Kid”...Mostly as in I don’t want you hanging out with “That, etc”...
He’s probably been granted sainthood now, but I just... grr... I seldom have that kind of instant dislike for anyone...
Thanks. I had forgotten all about him...He’ll probably answer the next door I knock on and be interested in solar energy...

Reviewing the FM songs was a decent trip down memory lane, and there are certainly some good songs there when individually experienced. A couple months ago, I was thinking, this is probably a band I should give more attention to, and I tried to cue up a few songs and they just fell flat on me... But I’m still not sure why...
“Tusk” is just plain weird...

I also enjoyed Kim Carnes voice, though she gets unfairly pigeon-holed as a one-hit wonder for “Betty Davis Eyes”. I loved her performance in the duet with Kenny Rogers on “Don’t Fall In Love With A Dreamer”...and her solo effort “(Barking at Airplanes)”... Lol, when Betty Davis Eyes first came out, I thought it was Rod Stewart singing...

Not a huge fan, but Rumours is an excellent record and Buckingham is an underrated guitarist.

Toto's Africa has a bit of resurgence in past few years with the music streaming world. It was a big hit in the early 80's, when it first came out, but I had forgotten about for years, but now it's back. I just checked on Spotify and Africa has over 500,000 million plays...that's a lot for a 30 year old song. Because of the Weezer remake. I liked Weezer a lot when they first came out but this recent cover record does nothing for me.

Those rankings are so subjective and personal but it is a great record. Guess what my favorite album of all time is. Just because it is you and me talking I am going to guess 36 Chambers. What's funny about this is I was just thinking today about whether a record I was listening to was or wasn't my favorite of all time. It is either #1 or #2. Don't think you'd guess it.

Your favorite? I'm going to guess maybe the White Album? Probably not. That's too obvious.
