Someone needs to tell Sanchez he'd hit better if he wouldn't chase every breaking pitch in the dirt of the other batter's box. It's a flaw I've picked watching. He needs to know. I’d bet anything I own (which isn’t that much) that he’s been informed of it. Fixing it is another issue... Based on my observations, you'd have a hard time proving he's been told. |

Yankees getting three runs against him wasn’t bad. Tanaka just had no pitch to go to this start. It happens sometimes, and the Rays score runs. I think they are leading the league and possibly second in the majors. |

Voit with a bad at bat in the seventh with the bases loaded. Castillo threw five straight balls. Voit swung at two of them. Should have been 6-4 with bases loaded and one out.

Nick Nelson looked very good in multiple innings tonight. Great change up. Three shutout innings, one hit, one walk.

Cessa bounces back from his last appearance with a nice eighth inning, which included a diving catch by Hicks to end the inning.

With Fairchild, Castillo, Anderson, and Roe, the Rays can mow down a lineup with their bullpen. All different looks, too.
