Here's a couple of nice additions.

Tanaka can not pitch more than 70 pitches. We have Cole and maybe Montgomery as reliable pitchers. You don't win a WS with a pitching staff that thin and untried.
At a certain point you need to decide you are going to win this year. Or you can wait another decade for a chance.
Tanaka was hit in the head from a batted ball off Stanton’s bat, which caused him to miss the already abbreviated spring training. He was on a pitch count until he caught up with the rest of the staff and built his arm strength and stamina. He’s had one bad outing. Tanaka has been incredible in the playoffs. He’s not hurt. Where are you getting your information, Russ? I guess I watched him being pulled after 70 pitches by mistake in his most recent game a month (half way) into the season. And his comments after the game which I posted that said he was tired during the game. You say he will come back and be effective. When he does that will be awesome.

Are you talking about the game where he gave up 0 runs?

Hammerin' Cameron is going to the Cubs. I became a Cameron Maybin fan last season, after thinking he was an under-achieving hotdog for most of his career. Good luck to him.

Russ, Tanaka isn’t hurt. He hasn’t left. Boone pulled him after 66 pitches in a seven inning game. Boone has done this to every starter in these shortened double header games (Until yesterday) to pursue the formulaic set up man, then closer. And, it has backfired every time. Tanaka is never going to argue with his manager. His response was in support of his manager, when every reporter (And fan) was second guessing Boone for his quick hooks and subsequent losses.

I thought he got hit in the head and had not recovered.
Thank you for correcting me [not being sarcastic, I am saying thank you].

I torched the Yankees last year for not signing Dallas Keuchel, when all it would have cost them was money and no prospects; however, this season there was really no one available that would have made a significant difference compared to the arms they already have, and it would have cost them prospects. There is no team with an excess of starting pitchers, desperately wanting to trade. Also, the Yankees’ recent losing streak has been due to scoring runs and not hitting with runners in scoring position, rather than starting pitching.

I thought he got hit in the head and had not recovered. Thank you for correcting me [not being sarcastic, I am saying thank you]. 1. Yes, Tanaka was hit in the head during the abbreviated spring training. 2. Subsequently, he missed spring training and was behind the other pitchers, when the season started. 3. Due to being behind during the season, he was on a pitch count until he built up his arm strength. 4. His pitch counts for the season are 51, 59, 66, 71 (please notice the trend) and then 66 when Boone was rightly criticized for pulling him too early. His pitch count should have been 75-80 in his last start. And, you are welcome.

I think we all flipped for Maybin last year. What a neat personality. I didn’t feel we’d have room for him this year, nor that he’d repeat his performance from 2019, so I was fine letting him go. I guess he could have helped us again after all...

I thought he got hit in the head and had not recovered. Thank you for correcting me [not being sarcastic, I am saying thank you]. I he had not recovered, then how was he pitching. Just curious. Thought it might have been a “Weekend at Bernie’s” kind of thing...
