I had to look up Ron Gant. He had over 300 HRs and over 1,000 RBIs. Jim Gantner played 17 seasons in the majors, all with the Brewers. I didn't realize he was around that long. Gant shirts. A high school staple. I have no idea if they still exist. Been a long since I heard anyone mention Gant shirts. But they were all over the place. Never quite figured that out…

Is it wrong to want Velazquez and Wade instead of Gleyber and Gio? Asking for a friend. I think we need a bigger sample size at the plate, especially Velazquez.

God bless the Twins. Most fun opponent this side of the Washington Generals.

Mid thirties. Maybe thirty six… How's the arm these days? Nothing. Plus still nursing the two injured shoulders now, so nothing from nothing leaves nothing… That one throw I mentioned, though… over thirty years ago I still remember that entire play. Reading the runner, charging the ball to get everything I could on the throw. Falling forward with my momentum when I threw. Seeing the ball hit the infield very short of the target with a sense of dread. Seeing the ball hit a pebble and go off line to the left, then hit another pebble to knock it back into line with the plate. The catcher waiting patiently. He was watching those same hops and sort of timing the runner coming in. Almost comical…

I totally understand that Gary Sanchez is a far superior player to Kyle Higashioka. Different planets. But there are times the Yanks seem like a better team with Higgy in there.
