There must be a universe in which this team as currently composed with Boone as manager wins a World Series…but this ain’t it. Bring some speed back from the minor leagues, along with Gil and Stephen Ridings. Cashman wasn’t able to move Voit by the deadline and now is stuck with playing Stanton in the field to get Voit at bats. For the 1000th time, what is the fascination with Odor? Ridings is on the DL, but there are others who could make this team better. What a horrible game, I'm glad I missed it. |

What I still like about this teams chances is they win series a lot even throughout all the stupid losses. They had a lot of chances to sweep series and failed, but still won them. They also played very well against division leaders Houston and Chicago. The last 2 or 3 series vs the Rays as well the Yankees looked loads better and could have swept both. Obviously gotta win that wild card game first, but they match up pretty well against the likely division winners. |

That play made me as mad as I've been at the Yankees this season. This game is hard and everyone makes mistakes but that play was absurd on so many levels because it was just pure laziness and unawareness on Torres, no excuse for it. |

That play made me as mad as I've been at the Yankees this season. Glad I missed this one. Ugh. Good news is,Tater Hawk Heaney didn't give up any taters. He just got bombed. Gallo reduced his strikeout rate to 40% only striking out on 2 of 5 plate appearances. He continues to rack up true outcomes with 4 today. But unlike every other Yankee, Gallo needs zero rest days while raking at about a .125 clip. The wild card race is wide open, though.

In the post game interview he said he was trying to find a grip for the ball because it was wet. That was his excuse. He did say the play was a mistake and has to be made. |

Well, that would be better than him just not paying attention to what was going on. Gleyber should have had two errors today since Sanchez was given one on a throw down to second that Gleyber just didn't catch. |
