He's got to go according to me and most of us. How long will they take to announce his fate?

I think the GM has to go not the manager. I respectfully disagree that managers matter that much. People complain about every Yankee manager and it hardly matters when they get replaced.
we need more talent more than a new manager. And bionic pitchers.

Would any other manager done better? I doubt it.

I think Cashman is far more at fault for this situation than Boone even if Boone is as bad a manager as everyone thinks. The fortunes we paid pitchers who did not work out and the inability of the farm system to produce anyone who could play a non-pitching role ever have to be laid at his door. A basic issue is that we pay two players, Stanton and Cole about what 60 million dollars? And while both are stars that means we could not invest in other players in an era where we have a hard cap. So he has to go cheap on everyone else and that has rarely worked.

All depends on how much control they would give another manager if its just going to be another puppet thats not accomplishing anything. The cheapness with the tax doesn't help either.

A few weeks ago, I said Boone probably cost the team ten games this season. My opinion hasn’t changed.

Yep 1 win anywhere and this game is at home or as you said those 10 wins instead of losses and they probably win the division.

Think of it this way. The Yankees don't run and hit, bunt etc so those decisions don't matter. The line up is so thin that other than batting judge and stanton higher in the order what decisions are there? I get upset with playing gallo high in the order, but there are few good choices with this line up. Basically all the manager on the Yankees does is manage pitchers

I don't care for Boone as a manager but when I look at the game last night we had no one on the bench worth a damn to pinch hit. I guess Boone was hoping that Odor and Sanchez would hit home runs but when you have to run up 2 players hitting .200 or so that is not much to choose from. God forbid Wade or Allen get a start in the outfield but a .160 hitter in the cleanup spot? Gallo should not have even been in the lineup. As said before we don't hit and run or bunt, but to do those you have to get on base. I'm not defending Boone at all but too many times this year he had not much in the way of options on the bench. We better hope our current players learn to hit(I'm not including Judge or Stanton) or we need a pretty big roster shakeup. That's on Cashman.

The man that needs to go the most is not going anywhere at all. He could still be the savior of it all, but will he? I’m talking about Hal Steinbrenner. He should either offer the team for sale or remove his insistence on staying below the luxury tax threshold. It’s time the team stopped investing in trash and trying to spin it into gold.
With that said, I’d like to see what Cashman could accomplish with a budget that is more in line with 2022 standards. I’d also like to see the philosophy of resting players on such whimsical terms be trashed. I don’t want Boone back. His errors this year were egregious. He seems to be failing to learn from his mistakes, even repeating them perhaps to prove that he was right the first time. He’s a wonderful family man that should go back to his family and care for them.
I will put my name in the ring for the new manager, provided the Yankees let me manage from home. I’d hire a sexy young lady to wear a bikini when going out to make pitching changes, which just may boost attendance, and keep the boys up for the game! It could make NY an attractive place for free agents again… We could mic her when she asks for the ball…

I agree that Steinbrenner is the problem and that he is not going away. I wish he would sell the team, to someone who cares about the Yankees but there are no indications he will.
Another suggestion would be to stop investing fortunes in specific players who don't produce. Particularly long term contracts that guarantee players won't produce at the end of the contract. Teams are successful spending a lot less than the salary cap. It is not the problem, our choice of players and a farm system that produces nothing except (rarely) pitchers of value is the problem.
I don't think it matters a lot who the manager is.

Say what you will about Boone, but our players will be rested and fresh for their Saturday tee times.
