Seems like a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers moment. You don't have to live off the legacy (Don't have to live off the legacy) No baby you don't have to live off the legacy (Don't have to lived the legacy)

Maybe bringing Boone back will lead to an era of enlightenment. Where analytics and astute feel for in-game decisions will merge. Where hot hitters are not benched. Where .160 hitters do not bat clean-up. Where Odor does not play 120 games. Where players play positions for which they are best suited. Where the Yankees mystique is revived. A revival if you will. A Renaissance.
Nah. Bring out the Caladrius bird.

This organization is stuck in neutral and isn't going anywhere. Bringing back Boone is a disappointment but the bigger problem is above him. Quite a bit has been said by all of us but this nails it plain and simple. In hindsight the Steinbrenners changed the goal and direction of the franchise once they tore down the massive home field advantage they had in old Yankee Stadium, to cash in on extra revenue of suites, restaurants, bars inside new YS. They capitalized off of the 90s dynasty run by hiring Randy Levine in pursuit of bullying and greasing NYC political palms to get a new stadium when one wasn't needed. Winning became secondary, no better example than the stagnant payroll we've seen for 15 years now as revenues has soared. They're continuing the charade by keeping the likes of Cashman, Levine, Trost, and now Boone around, as if everything is perfectly acceptable not reaching the WS. Winning has become secondary, it's plenty obvious. Good Grief. I am so disappointed. Yes, this surely tells us they don't really care about winning. The only good thing is that they have weaned me off of their teat over a period of time, and it is not so painful as it could have been, to ride off as an ex-Yankee fan. The other choices are not easy though. I could never pull for the Red Sox, Orioles, or Jays. Maybe the Rays. They try so hard with such limited resources. The Hell with the Yankees. Gosh, but I once loved them and their history so much. Now, the Hell with them. I am done.

Not worry about things like phones and computers. To live with and learn from Bigfoot, who is apparently much smarter than us. I hate to see anyone lose their love for this franchise. I would say this is the definition of disenfranchisement. Maybe you can hold off on that until at least we see what kind of winter trading and free-agent signing period we go through? Spring training, when hope springs eternal? We still have the best logo and best uniforms in the world, even more recognizable than UPS…
