The "anal" part will definitely work well...All he has to work on is the "yst" part. I find him a bit droll and boring for an on-air personality, but we'll see...

Well, of course. Nobody wants to get fired, and it's not like he did anything "wrong". He just didn't fit the situation anymore. Sometimes when that happens, a man is able to see that and decides to move on through his own volition (like I'm doing now). Other times they either don't see it coming or they try to wait out the grim reaper. I don't think Girardi saw it coming at all. If he had, he would have resigned and moved on...

Turned on MLB yesterday when I got on the rower to work out and was unpleasantly shocked to hear him talking about himself and what he brought to the table as a catcher and a manager. He actually might be a pretty good analyst once he starts talking about the games and not himself. For all of the frustration with his tactical decisions he's a smart guy and should bring something to the table.

I thought Girardi did a good job the one year he worked for YES. Working in the media is certainly less stressful than managing.

Now that we're done talking about me, let's talk about what you think of me...

Now that we're done talking about me, let's talk about what you think of me... They should pair him and Rodriguez together on a broadcast and while the two of them talk about themselves, all oxygen in the booth will be depleted and they'll both pass out.

LOL, Fatness. And maybe give Rodriguez a replacement World Series ring made of Kryptonite. You have to wonder if Rodriguez and Lopez might do that in their relationship, too...He may be perfectly paired for a stroll down the aisle now. With Lopez, not Girardi...

(: You are correct, I should have said he would have announced his retirement or at the least his disinterest in returning. Something tells me there were clues that he didn't pick up on...
