Of all the available pitchers, I never thought this guy would be a Yankee.

Stroman has always wanted to be a Yankee… now it’s his opportunity to show he deserves to be

Yeah. If he’s a mid to back end guy, I’m okay with it. Hopefully if he gets a little punky Judge, Stanton, and Cole get him in a corner and straighten him out. Maybe that’s what he needs. Get him to focus on baseball instead of his self love and he’ll win 16 or 18 games…

Anyway life is good for pitchers if end of the rotation guys are going for 18 million per.

I think its a very good deal and i predicted that was the kind of deal he would get . That being said he must have really meant what he said 3 years ago . He took less in this deal than what he got from the cubs

not a fan of the guy but yeah strange that he took so "little" money. last 2 seasons, he made $25 mil/yr and now he's accepting $18.5/yr. not complaining but something's strange here. maybe he really wanted to be a yankee.
things to note - he has an era over 6 at ys and he seems to be rather thin skinned. while he played well for the mets, yankee fans are a whole different animal.

Doesn't move the needle much for me. Hope it works out. If Rodon doesn't bounce back, it probably won't matter much

One must have to believe in the tooth fairy to believe that outcome is likely . Whats more likely is either stroman or rodon going on the IL this season . If this is the only thing they do for the rotation then i doubt they do much more than win a playoff spot . And thats if all goes well

Of all the available pitchers, I never thought this guy would be a Yankee. Unexpected by me, but for a couple years in a moderate price range (in today's market - not much more than Frankie Montas), the signing fills an area of need after the Yankees put all but the most eggs in Yamamoto's basket, while watching other starters going elsewhere. Maybe the Oompah Loompah can magically spin a solid number three or four in the starting rotation...

I dont feel comfortable with a rotation that consists of 4 guys who very injury prone
