Yes according to a person(s) opinion ... Other opinions have him in the top 5-6 One thing that is a fact and not an opinion - Gleyber had the 6th highest OPS of all MLB 2B in 2023 ... Thats pretty Good Being a good 2b is more than just his bat though . And i believe overall torres isnt a top 10 2b. Hes a better fielder than Arraez and Albies and he's ranked just below Atuve but I bet you have those 3 really high on your list

We may be and should be better than last year but did we really close the gap between us and the top teams in the AL? We finished 19 games behind the Orioles who at worst should be just as good. Don't think we made up 19 games. It all comes down to our fragile starting pitching. One more solid rotation piece would provide some optimism. The Yankees were 2 games behind the Orioles on July 4th. Yankees went 34-42 from that point. Baltimore went 52-26.

So Gleyber is a Top 5 offensive 2nd baseman and top 10 defensive 2nd baseman ... that's pretty good
Hence, is arbitration raise and salary. Bad 2Bman don't make 14.2 million dollars a year. In my opinion, his salary next season will be somewhere around 17-20 per season.

Something similar to the old refrain that the power hitters make the big bucks vs. the singles hitters, or chicks dig the long ball. When it comes to payday, the bats are always compensated better than the gloves…
