Slaps the next pitch to Arias well off the line at 3rd, throws him out, inning over.
Scott Barlow has an easy 1-2-3 innings, 3 grounders.

Ramirez hits one deep to right, but Verdugo, who moved over from left when the Yanks took out Soto, catches back near the wall, one down.
Naylor gets a hanging change on the 1st pitch, belts it out down the line for a solo HR. Score now 8-2, Yanks.

Yanks win their 2nd straight, 8-1 over the Guardians. Poteet goes a surprising 6 innings for the win.
Yanks sweep the split double-header, are now 12-3, .800 ball, on the season, gain a game on the O's and Rays, keep pace with the Jays and Red Sox. Yanks now lead the O's by 3, the Rays and Sox by 3 1/2, and the Jays by 4 1/2
