Soto has faced him once and hit a sac fly. FB up and away, 1-0 FB waist high inner 3rd, Soto is late and under, fouls it back. Chases the FB about 4-5 inches above the zone, middle, strike 2 Blows the FB right by him at the top, down the middle at 103.3 for the K.

Judge has never faced him FB waist high outside corner at 101, swung on and missed Can't check on the 102 FB up and in, 0-2 Probably a strike anyway. Slider breaks hard but well outside, 1-2 Back to the FB up I'd think./

I thought that I heard that he was warming up earlier.
Just speculating...But maybe since the Yankees are in a stretch where they play 17 game in a row without a day off, maybe they were only going to use Holmes if there was a save situation.
lol, brillant strategy.

No doubt OAK has a stellar bp. Game over, Yankees loss

Game over. Oh well, the Yankees can't win them all. Even the best teams lose 60-65 games in a season.

Slider winds up about 2-3 inches high, 2-2 Should be a Fb here. Dammit!! Made a pitch selection mistake AND a gross location error, a slider hanging over the middle, and he's STILL late and under, fouls it off. So Miller just rears back and blows it by him waist high outer half at 102 for the swing and miss. The whiff ends the game.; A's win, 2-0. And with Paul Blackburn tomorrow, who's pitching brilliantly so far this season, Yanks face the terrible prospect of losing the first two games of this series to a BAD A's team.

Oakland A’s looking like a pitching juggernaut! Or, was that just the Yankees in a rut?

At least with this day game, the boys will have plenty of time to get the Garden to watch the basketball game.
