Looks like the A's have themselves a closer. No doubt.

Really need these last 3 with a challenging road trip to Milwaukee and Baltimore coming up this weekend into next week. Might wanna track down Jobu to awaken the bats...

Oakland A’s looking like a pitching juggernaut! Or, was that just the Yankees in a rut? My guess is both.

Yanks lose 2-0, the 4th time they've been shutout in 23 games, on pace to get shut out 28 times this season. I find it hard to believe that any team that has won a title has ever been shut out that many times, even in the dead ball days before 1920, or the other dead ball era of the 1960s This is now a serious problem. Judge Torres and Volpe's slumps hurting them badly now.
Game 2 tomorrow at 7:05. Paul Blackburn vs. Marcus Stroman. That's going to do it for me today. See you guys tomorrow afternoon. Good afternoon to all. Bye.

At least with this day game, the boys will have plenty of time to get the Garden to watch the basketball game. Yes! Game 2 first round series. Go Knicks!

There’s only one way to get the coveted 3/4 in this series now. I wonder if we have the horses to do it…?
Right now it’s Soto, with a bit of help from Verdugo, Trevino, and a slightly fading Cabrera on offense…and Stanton if he’s on that day …

Offense is either good or anemic (4 shutouts) no middle ground.

Yankees in the bottom half of the league offensively ... imagine where they would be without Soto ?

Judge down to .174. Hard to believe.

In my opinion, that would be the perfect example why fans shouldn't get so upset when their team loses a game.

Offense is either good or anemic (4 shutouts) no middle ground. And it seems to come in clusters. Relying on the big inning as opposed to spreading the production out.

Yankees in the bottom half of the league offensively ... imagine where they would be without Soto ? They are 2nd in the AL in OBP 8th MLB (4 points behind Houston) which is def an improvement from last year, but they need to score these runners 6th in AL in Runs 14th overall. Seems like all of AL is struggling with all these NL teams ahead of them.

Yankees were 12th AL 27th overall in OBP last year. 11 AL/ 25 MLB in runs.
So both those numbers are up, but theres def room for improvement.

Judge down to .174. Hard to believe. To be sitting at 15-8 while getting almost nothing from Judge and Gleyber is pretty remarkable. They need to start earning their keep or the luck's gonna run out and the law of averages is gonna slap them silly.

Judge clearly SUX in the 3 hole !!!!!!!! What are they waiting for??? You cant wait forever to make these moves .. we're getting beat by the A's now!
