Yankees in the bottom half of the league offensively ... imagine where they would be without Soto ? They are 2nd in the AL in OBP 8th MLB (4 points behind Houston) which is def an improvement from last year, but they need to score these runners 6th in AL in Runs 14th overall. Seems like all of AL is struggling with all these NL teams ahead of them. They are 2nd in OBP because Soto has a .456 OBP ... they lare ower half in every other stat. |

Yankees were 12th AL 27th overall in OBP last year. 11 AL/ 25 MLB in runs. So both those numbers are up, but theres def room for improvement. They have the 2nd highest payroll in baseball ... Take out Soto and they are probably bottom 2 or 3 Rizzo, Gleyber, and Judge are disgraceful ... let's not sugar coat it |

Yanks find themselves way down in the middle of the pack or even the bottom third of the majors in most offensive categories. They're tied for 14th in home runs with 22, 21st in slugging with .363 and 19th with .691 OPS. They've hit 31 doubles (tied for 20th) and no triples. They do have 13 steals (tied for 17th) in 16 attempts. With 19 errors they are next to dead last in fielding PCT at .977. Yanks are lucky they're third in ERA at 2.95.

At least with this day game, the boys will have plenty of time to get the Garden to watch the basketball game. Yes! Game 2 first round series. Go Knicks! The NYI are playing too, but I don't expect them to get out of the first round because the Hurricanes are a much superior team. |

19 Nationals 8 (and that was a team that was 12 games under .500 at one point too)
18 Red Sox 7

13 Red Sox 11

09 Yankees 5
Add in the 23 Diamondbacks who made the WS with only 84 wins and they had 7 times being shutout
So yea having 4 at this point is concerning since the average here is about 9 or so.
