What does TBL stand for ? The Big Lebowski. Jeff Bridges has become one of my favorite actors over time. Versatile. Funny. Serious. Sometimes I feel that I could play the parts because he makes it look so easy...The way he flew in "Lebowski" is very similar to the way I fly in my dreams (when I fly. I don't do it all the time)...Many of my dreams involve repetitive situations where I can't stop doing whatever it is I'm doing. Like I used to dream (still do sometimes) about my days in retail, and that just before we could get the door locked people would come pouring in the door at closing time...refusing to leave. Hey, it REALLY HAPPENED a few times, and people can be real bastards once they get in... The flying is seldom used for good or bad, I can just do it. Sometimes I lift off by pumping my legs like a frog swimming. Many times I've dreamed that I could fly and did anything I could to keep people from finding out so they wouldn't pester to me to fly for them or for any particular cause or reason they may have...And no "Superman" complex. I don't wear a cape or save anyone...

I can honestly saw... I've never flew in my dreams.. Well, go ahead and start. It's easy. I mean...it IS just a dream...Or maybe I do have an extreme talent. Dream flying. Not everyone can do it...Hmm. I wonder if Jimmy Kimmel would have me on his show???

Probably better than half the talent he already has on his show and that's being generous... In fact you'd be at the top of my list of talent for any show

It was a childhood dream of mine to host to talk show some day. Damn, I loved the Tonight Show. Being the insomniac that I was, I did watch it quite often in my high school years...Johnny Carson was a very talented man. They say he was a horrible person to get along with in real life though...

You'd make a great talk show host. Certainly better then 99% of the hosts currently on the tube. If I ever make it big... I will make sure you live out your childhood dream

The dream was very brief, in fact I would estimate that it last less than a full second, but I did have a dream last night about Ohtani. There was a newspaper headline, and it read...
DENVER GETS OTANI
So, since the team in Denver doesn't use Denver in it's moniker, and since the headline writer chose to use the now out of date spelling...I got a charge out of it. I realize that I must be thinking about the Ohtani signing more than I realized...
So I was curious to run to the computer this morning to see if ANYONE had signed Ohtani. No one had. Is my dream a pre-cursor to reality? I did see an article that says that Ohtani is asking all MLB teams that are interested in his services to send him their resume. That's kinda kooky...
I would have felt derelict in my duties as a poster had I not shared this with you. Odd that I can't remember anything that I was dreaming before or after that little headline except that even when I was dreaming it, it struck me as odd that there was the flash of a headline in the middle of other dreaming, almost like a subliminal message was being relayed...

Denver has no infield. He'd be an idiot to sign there. In my dream, he turned down Denver, which then sold his rights to New Orleans, which needs both pitching and hitting...perfect place for Otani.

Took a nap today and dreamed that I got mad at Ruthie because...Well, you see I had this huge propane burner that was shaped like a missile that I had to light in the house and then carry outside. All I wanted her to do was open the door so I could carry it outside without catching the house on fire and she was just standing there talking on the phone. The damned thing was heavy, man!!! Reminded me of the old Cheech and Chong "Dave" routine. "Open the GODDAMN DOOR!!!"
Damn, I have weird dreams...

Okay, but would you bench Drew Brees for him??? Brees is nearly 40 years old, and at this stage of his career, he knows his role; however, I haven't seen Brees hit without his shoulder pads, but there is plenty room on the diamond for both.

Brees is becoming one of the grand old men of football at this point...

Mariners, Giants, Padres Will Meet With Shohei Ohtani — At Least 13 Other Teams Out Of The Running
The Giants and Mariners are among the teams that will receive meetings with Shohei Ohtani and his representatives next week, Yahoo Sports’ Jeff Passan reports (Twitter link). It isn’t known who the other finalists are in the Ohtani sweepstakes, though the Yankees are one of the teams that didn’t make the cut, as Yankees GM Brian Cashman told reporters (including NJ.com’s Brendan Kuty and MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch).
According to Cashman, as per Ohtani seems to be leaning towards West Coast teams in smaller markets. This ties to a report from FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman saying that Ohtani’s reps are informing teams that the two-way star would prefer to play in a smaller market.
