According to Michael Kay, Gallo as struck out 50% of the time, but that doesn't mean he's in a slump. Really? Cashman's big trade acquisition is hitting .147 in 102 at bats, how is that not a slump? Blabber mouth Kay goes on and on about Gallo's great on base % and how valuable he is and how in demand he was at the trade deadline. Gallow's OBP with the Yankees is now .310, which isn't good for a guy that walks as much as he does. Plus he was dealt for four OK but not great prospects and the Rangers paid his entire 2021 salary. That doesn't sound like a guy that was in great demand. These YES guys need to stop the nonsense with Gallo and stop sugar coating his poor performance at the plate.

Because despite hitting about 75 points lower than Wade and being a worse fielder, he's more likely to run into a home run than Wade. Analytics. Simple. |
