Voit and Wade wasting away on the bench. The way Stanton was running last night, it's no surprise he's back at DH. Of course, when you hit the ball over the fence, you don't have to exert much energy to get around the bases. |

I’ve seldom seen so many balls hit softly and hanging up in the air or to the right place. I really do t care to see him out there. The way he’s (finally) hitting again, we need to protect him for the post season. Voit becomes an unfortunate victim in the scheme of Yankeedom at this point… |

This is not mentioned on broadcasts, or at least I haven’t heard it, but Ohtani has 89 HR in his career now. Only 2 have come when he was pitching, and he hits .217 while pitching. 85 have been as a DH. The other 2 as a pinch hitter.
Not to demean him, but once again comparisons to Babe Ruth seem to be premature…
