Are you kidding me? Another DP from Gallo? He's caught the Yankee DP disease. Please just go back to striking out, Gallo. We always have to recall that you can’t predict baseball (Suzyn). But that is true. This is a game that always seems to produce unexpected streaks and oddities like no other sport. Gallo could get hot at the plate at any time, and he could go back into a no DP career path after this one. Baseball is a weird sport…

Player development just isn't Cashman's thing.

Angels acting like they have something to play for. We’d better get back to that, too…

Third straight game that Taillon has fallen apart in the middle of the game. Maybe he's wearing down after so little activity the past two seasons?

We have enough sub-.220 hitters.

Player development just isn't Cashman's thing. He loves to collect them in the minors. To treat them like they’re treasured assets. When it’s time to play him he seems to be afraid of something. Afraid they’ll be revealed as lesser prospects? Afraid they’ll succeed and he’ll have to DFA a free veteran? I dunno. But Florial is still scuffling at AAA at .212/.307/.407…

I couldn't blame Florial for being demoralized knowing that it doesn't matter how he hits at Scranton, he isn't getting a shot in the big leagues.

Is Velasquez going to be our next “Toe”? Just a thought… Did you guys notice that Toe has become an everyday player with the Phillies? He's already had a longer big league career than I thought he would.

Is Velasquez going to be our next “Toe”? Just a thought… Torres is coming back, so who do you keep on the roster, Velasquez or Wade? I'm keeping Wade because he can play more positions, although either one of them would be a good option for a utility role.

Wade has already used most, maybe all…
